More about me

Lisa-Maria Salzer in person

Employment law is more than just interpreting the law. It is a sensitive area that combines economic, personal and often emotional aspects. This makes it all the more important to advise and act with legal expertise, strategic foresight and a clear understanding of your situation.

As a lawyer, I support you in legally complex situations with the aim of developing viable and practicable solutions. The focus of my work is on your interests – and the requirement to enforce these effectively and with legal certainty.

I work with you to analyze the specific situation and provide you with transparent information about your legal options. In doing so, I not only take into account the current legal situation and case law, but also the specific implications of each option – legally, economically and personally.

Whether termination, contract drafting, restructuring or cooperation with the works council: I support you in making well-founded decisions and in being well-positioned both legally and strategically.

Career

I completed my law studies as part of the combined degree program “Corporate Lawyer (LL.B./Staatsexamen)” at the University of Mannheim with a focus on commercial law.

I completed my legal clerkship at Karlsruhe Regional Court, during which I was able to gain a wide range of insights into different areas of legal practice.

In particular, I deepened my knowledge of employment law – both from a legal perspective and on the corporate side, including during my time at a leading international company in the field of drive technology and automation.

From July 2025, I will be working at Bartsch Rechtsanwälte with a focus on employment law.

Restructuring, outsourcing, reorganization and turnaround situations

A competent and solution-oriented partner is needed to manage the increasing complexity for entrepreneurs and companies, but also for employees. I see myself as such. With more than twenty-five years of practical experience in various positions of responsibility in industrial companies, as well as my work as a lawyer, I am familiar with the concerns and needs of entrepreneurs and companies, but also of employees. My approach has always been to find pragmatic, successful solutions in the interests of the company, based on in-depth knowledge of the relevant area of law.

Compliance

Companies, their executive bodies and employees have to know and observe a large number of sometimes complex rules. If violations occur, there is not only the threat of criminal and civil law consequences, but often also reputational damage and business losses. The scope of the rules, their complexity and the level of sanctions have been steadily increasing for years. At the same time, companies are losing money because they are not taking advantage of business opportunities due to excessive caution. With our many years of experience, we help you to identify and objectively assess risks without ignoring or over-dramatizing them.

More about me

The context in which many companies and entrepreneurs, as well as employees, operate today is becoming increasingly complex due to advancing digitalization, internationalization and globalization.
This has a tangible and direct impact on all those involved, not least due to the plethora of legal regulations within which companies, employers and employees now have to navigate and find their way around.

Regulations that are applied in the course of restructuring, outsourcing, reorganization and turnaround situations, but also works constitution law and collective bargaining law are just a few examples.

Career

I studied law at the Ruprecht-Karls-University in Heidelberg. I completed my doctorate on the subject of “German and Austrian Works Constitution Law – A Comparison from a Legal History Perspective” at the Private University in the Principality of Liechtenstein, Triesen, under Professor Dr. Bernd Waas (Goethe University Frankfurt/Main).

I completed my legal clerkship in Darmstadt. I was admitted to the bar in 1995 and have been a specialist lawyer for employment law since 1999. In addition to my work as a lawyer, I held various management positions, first at a company of the Deutsche Bahn Group, then at a subsidiary of Deutsche Telekom AG, then at Brückner Maschinenbau GmbH and finally for almost twelve years at HOERBIGER Holding AG, for the HOERBIGER Group. In the last five years there, I was Chief Human Resources Officer and a member of the Group Executive Board.

Company agreements and social plans

Works councils are involved in various organizational issues, from software launches to personnel measures such as hiring, transfers or dismissals. Restructurings and operational changes, which often require a reconciliation of interests and a social plan, are particularly complex. We draft works agreements for you, negotiate with the works council and represent your company before the conciliation committee.

Advice and representation of municipalities

We advise and represent local authorities on all issues relating to the TVöD and TV-L: from questions of correct classification, transfer, dismissal and disciplinary proceedings.

Employment law support for M&A projects

In the event of plant closures or relocations, we design employment law strategies for practical implementation. In mergers and transactions, a careful examination of employment law issues, such as dealing with pension schemes or co-determination at company and corporate level in share and asset deals, is crucial for a successful transfer.

Construction law

The construction and real estate sector is an anchor of stability and a driver of growth for the German economy. At the same time, it fulfills an essential function for society as a whole: it creates a livable living and working environment and the necessary infrastructure for a community. Construction and real estate law is characterized by a large number of legal standards, whereby the boundary between legal and technical regulations is fluid. In addition, digital and sustainable solutions are also playing an increasingly important role here and are politically prescribed. In this complex environment, we provide you with comprehensive, targeted and specialized advice so that you are prepared for the legal challenges that arise in construction projects.

Real Estate

We deal with all important issues relating to real estate and advise our clients in particular on real estate transactions, project developments and asset management. Our team masters the development and management of large-scale real estate projects – from planning to execution and marketing to realization.

Building smart

Building is technically complex. At the same time, it should be sustainable. The set deadline and budget targets should be met. At the moment, construction projects too often end in disputes over supplements or defects and none of the targets set are achieved. At the same time, the world is becoming more digital. Smart building is the order of the day and we provide the necessary legal tools.

Labor and Employment Law

As a specialist lawyer for employment law, I advise companies and executives on all matters relating to employment law. We support you in the development of personnel and remuneration models and help you to develop tailor-made concepts for your company. Our clients appreciate the fact that we provide straightforward answers and develop pragmatic solutions as a daily point of contact for management and the HR department.

More about me

The focus of my work is the supervision of complex large-scale construction projects. I advise clients, investors and construction companies during the construction process and also represent my clients in court if necessary. To do this, a lawyer must understand what he is talking about and have the ability to present complex business, construction or interpersonal issues correctly and convincingly. I understand my clients, their business and their goals. For me, communicating optimally for my clients is the basis of first-class legal advice.

Bartsch Rechtsanwälte at the EXPO Real in Munich

From October 4 to 6, the largest real estate trade fair EXPO Real took place again in Munich. Investors, project developers and construction companies from all over the world met to exchange experiences.

Our partner, the Karlsruhe TechnologyRegion, was also represented there with its own stand and we had many opportunities to talk to clients and interested parties and share our experience and knowledge.

This year in Munich, around 1,900 exhibitors from 36 countries presented their services to 40,000 participants with a focus on sustainability, digitalization and the transformation of the real estate industry.

Advoselect webinar, topic: Energy and heat

Energy security, energy supply and energy prices are not only an economic issue, but also present us with legal challenges.

The law firms in the Europe-wide Advoselect network of lawyers have therefore taken up this issue. In five short articles, you will learn interesting facts about rental and lease agreements for solar and wind power plants, about intra-European energy trading, but also about an important topic for local authorities and investors, namely the possibilities accelerated by politics to designate areas for wind power use.

Our partner Alexander Hoff spoke about this (in the video from minute 41). We look forward to receiving your suggestions.

“If Mary and Joseph had known!” Short presentations by Bartsch Rechtsanwälte

On 10.11.2022, our new short lecture series on employment law entitled “If Mary and Joseph had known! Employment law under the Christmas tree” at the Buhlsche Mühle in Ettlingen. The six-person team, consisting of attorneys Ina Bender, Diana Lipska and Alexandra Steg as well as attorneys Dr. Alexander Hoff, Dr. Reinhard Möller and Dr. Gerhard Wagner, presented current and exciting topics in employment law in a cozy atmosphere. The special feature here was not only the unusual presentation format, but also the parallel to the Christmas story, which was skillfully drawn by the speakers in their presentations and provided smiles and laughter in many places. The audience not only enjoyed a highly informative evening, but also an entertaining, cozy and relaxed atmosphere in a wintery, pre-Christmas mood. Thanks to the cold temperatures of the evening, the first mulled wine of the year in the outdoor area tasted particularly good for many guests.

We are already looking forward to our “Anglühen” next year and hope that we can not only inspire our guests again, but also enchant them!

Are you an entrepreneur or an HR manager in a company, interested in labor law topics and would like to join us next time? Then get in touch with us and send us an e-mail here. We look forward to seeing you!

38th HR decision-maker network meeting on the MS Karlsruhe

On 29.09.2022, the network meeting of erste reserve personalservice spreen GmbH took place for the 38th time.

Under the motto “Full speed ahead: strategies for a successful crew”, lawyer Dr. Möller spoke, as in previous years, on an employment law topic based on the motto – this time on the perennial topic of “Troublemakers in the team. The right way to deal with obstructionists and naysayers.”

In keeping with the motto, we went on a round trip on the Rhine on the MS Karlsruhe passenger ship. The topic of “time recording”, which has gained considerable interest due to the decision of the Federal Labor Court of 13.09.2022, was not neglected.

After the presentations, there was plenty of opportunity to network on deck over delicacies from the galley and make new contacts here and there.
