My Areas of Expertise
Tax Law
Tax law is a complex and constantly evolving field of law. Errors or ambiguities can quickly lead to significant financial burdens. Therefore, comprehensive and personalized advice is essential for businesses. We help you develop tailored strategies to efficiently meet your tax obligations and minimize legal risks. We provide expert support in tax planning, defending you in tax disputes, and representing you before tax courts.
Criminal Tax Law
Whether due to inadvertent disclosures, missing information, or complex tax issues—suspicions of a tax offense can quickly arise. However, intentional misconduct is not always the cause: errors on the part of the tax authority or misunderstandings in communication can also be contributing factors.
We support you through every stage of criminal tax proceedings—from preventive advice and the filing of an effective voluntary disclosure to representation during investigative or court proceedings. In doing so, we carefully review not only the information you provide but also the tax authorities’ approach.
Transactions & Tax Law
We provide support for domestic and international transactions, with a particular focus on tax-related issues. Our services range from strategic tax planning to assistance with tax audits and tax reviews, and include the enforcement of your rights in tax dispute proceedings. We place particular emphasis on:
- proactive tax planning
- the defense against and handling of tax disputes
- Tax Audits and Tax Inspections as Preventive Measures
- The Liability of Advisors in a Tax Context
- Issues in Foreign Trade Law and Social Security Law
- tax due diligence, as well as
- legal and tax advice for asset deals and share deals
Our consulting services combine in-depth knowledge of tax law with a sound understanding of business—to deliver legally sound and sustainable solutions.
Customs and Foreign Trade Law
Customs and foreign trade law governs the international movement of goods and is subject to complex national and European regulations. More About Me
Maximilian Michael in person
In my free time, I love to cook and explore the flavors of the world. Another passion of mine is studying history.
Career History
I completed my studies at the universities of Mainz and Glasgow. Afterward, I worked as a research assistant at an international commercial law firm in Frankfurt. It was there that my enthusiasm for tax matters began to develop. I was able to further deepen my expertise in this area during my legal clerkship, during which I completed rotations at a major German commercial law firm and at the Mainz Tax Office.
